Introduction

I am passionate about wine, waves and wildlife and South Africa is an unsurpassed location for all of these endeavors. This site is primarily dedicated to the sale of wine and wine is something that I enjoy daily. I am inspired by the diversity of wines and tastes and I take great pleasure from sipping a glass of wine whether it be a Cabernet Sauvignon or Riesling. However, for me it is the stories, people and places enveloped in each bottle of wine that makes wine and the enjoyment thereof, special. I was born and raised in San Diego, California and grew up loving surfing and it is something that I do as often as possible. In fact my life has tended to revolve around surfing whether it be the place that I reside or my occupation. In fact, surfing first brought me to South Africa which sparked my love for the country, its wine and even resulted in me being introduced to my wife. Wildlife viewing is synomnous with South Africa for a reason. Viewing game in its natural habitat and experiencing the veld is something that every person should experience. To date, we have done over twenty five trips to view game in and around South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique. From Okavango Delta to Hluhluwe-Unfolozi, we have experienced it and each adventure has been truly memorable.

This blog is part travel blog and part expression of my love of wine, waves and wildlife. The blog describes our personal experiences and is not an advertisement or marketing ploy. Further, I am not a professional writer or photographer. Anyway, these are simply some qualifications before we begin!
